I’m 36 and I’m on a healthy plant-based nutrition from 2017. Before changing a diet I also had some health problems, not serious, but unpleasant. I often caught cold and took medicine from time to time. Besides, sometimes I suffered from a lack of energy.
Now I’m active and full of energy. I practice yoga and work out more often than I used before changing a diet. I don’t take medicaments any more.
Today my son is at school. I’ve already shown my son’s school meal in the previous topic What does my child eat at school. Now I want to tell you about my today’s lunch.
It’s a boiled beet. My favorite salad dressing is raw flaxseed oil and dried herbs (parsley, oregano, etc.). I eat boiled beet rarely, raw is preferable. It keeps more vitamins.
Today I have a Russian “Hrenovina”. It’s a spicy seasoning (sauce) to the main dish. It consists of minced or ground in a blender some tomatoes, a horseradish, a garlic and some salt. You can also add some sugar, a pepper, a vinegar, a carrot if you want.
I don’t use the vinegar so my sauce can be stored in the fridge a little more than a week. I put this sauce on my crispbreads.
Ingredients:
- Tomatoes – 1 kg (2.20 lb)
- Horseradish – 0.1 kg (0.22 lb)
- Garlic – 0.1 kg (0.22 lb)
- Salt 2 tsp.
Wash tomatoes, peel the garlic and the horseradish. Mince all vegetables or ground in a blender so small pieces remains. Add a pinch of salt, put in a jar and keep it in a fridge.
I want to tell you about these crispbreads. They are so tasty and healthy! I buy them in the hypermarket “Okay” in Moremall Sochi. They don’t contain bakery yeast and chemicals. Only natural ingredients: wholegrain rye flour, rye flour, sesame seeds, salt.
There are different color packages with various ingredients.
