Of course, we had some ideas about being eventually on a raw food diet, but we found out our best way, which is more suitable for today. We are on a healthy plant-based nutrition.

Being vegans means eating a lot of plant-based food, usually boiled, stewed, so-called, heat-treated. However, we try to follow a ratio 80:20. It means 80% of raw food vs 20% of heat-treated meal daily.

This ratio gives an opportunity to keep your body in a state, when the processes of purification of the body prevail over the processes of contamination by toxins.

We almost don’t use sugar at home, we use salt only in heat-treated meals, all salads we eat without any salt. We try not to eat bread often, but if we do, we prefer a wholegrain or spelt bread without any bakery yeast.

Certainly, from time to time we visit different vegetarian/vegan or raw food cafes. In Sochi, where we live now, there are some good places.

During our walks we eat only fresh fruit.

Recently we’ve discovered delicious cakes in a surf cafe. They are raw, without sugar and flour. This cakes contain fruits, nuts, seeds and other healthy ingredients. Unfortunately, these dessert is not for Egor, because it contains nuts.

We pay great attention to all ingredients. That’s why I always spend extra time looking through the list of ingredients in supermarkets.

The main rule is to avoid harmful ingredients, produced by the chemical industry. According to the received knowledge, all chemical ingredients aren’t absorbed or removed from our organism and are deposited in toxins in our body. Thus, the harm from chemical ingredients can be significantly greater than from eating meat.

I advice you to be conscious when buying candies and snacks for yourself and especially for your children. Read the list of ingredients on the packaging and be sure that you really know what each of them means.

So, about 90% or even more of all biscuits, candies, sauces, cans, drinks and other products are harmful for people’s health.
