It’s great when you enjoy eating fresh vegetables and fruit. The fact that some people don’t perceive fruit and vegetables as a hearty meal. It’s sad to watch moms on the beach treating children with chips instead of an apple or an orange. This year my son went to a private school. We couldn’t find any vegan school at Sochi, only two vegetarian schools. The fact that, we didn’t choose them because of some moments in an educational process. In the first month Egor confused to eat any fruit there. The reason was that all classmates ate only candies and snacks.
In my previous recipes I shared with you how to cook vegan meals. This is because we don’t cook many raw meals. We like to eat fruit and vegetables separately because the taste of each is unique. But we also like different raw salads. Another reason is that most of raw recipes use nuts. Since our son is allergic to them, we keep a decision not to cook such meals at home. But I want to share one raw recipe with you. Some time ago we visited raw cafe “Slivka” (it means “little plum”) in Sochi. There we tasted Russian borscht. It was delicious!
Some vegans ans vegetarians tend to believe that the most harmful product is meat. Unfortunately, meat products nowadays are not the most dangerous. According to naturopath Mikhail Sovetov, the most harmful food can definitely be considered the one that doesn’t exist in nature and contains chemical additives. If you look through the list of ingredients of the most common products in the supermarkets you’ll find out that most of them contain chemical components.
From the time we are on a healthy plant-based nutrition, I try to find biscuits with harmless ingredients in the supermarkets. Every time I get frustrated. About 99 % of biscuitscontain unhealthy and even harmful ingredients. Fortunately, nowadays we have some healthy food shops in Sochi which can provide enough variety of healthy raw biscuits. But my son doesn’t like them. What to do in the situation when your child asks for delicious but unhealthy cookies because all children at school eat them?
Breakfast is an essential part of a daily routine. It provides our body with vitamins that will support high level of energy and fight off any signs of exhaustion. In this case a green smoothie is a great variant of a healthy breakfast! Green smoothie is, as you can notice from the name, green in color.
There exists one secret battery for your body. It’s a spiritual practice. Not long ago we visited a seminar of Dmitry Lapshinov in Sochi. He is a well-known person among people who keeps raw food diet. Of course, vegans and vegetarians also like to receive important information from him. During this seminar he told us about an importance of a proper breathing for health.
Our health depends on a purity of the body, what resources you give to your body. Living water, air and food are antioxidants. Dead water, air and food are free radicals. The first group recharge cells, rejuvenate the body. The last one take away this charge, accelerate the aging process. Traditional meal of an average person consists of boiled, fried, stewed products. It’s so-called dead food. The same is with water and air.
The city of Egor’s birth is Obninsk, Russia. It’s about 100 kilometers (62 miles) from Moscow, the capital of Russia. As a rule, winters in Obninsk are cold and snowy, summers are warm and wet. Of course, winter is a nice time, especially for kids. There exists a lot of winter activities and games. Despite this, we always dreamed about warm and soft winters, palms and light clothing all year round. One day in a cold February 2018 we decided to make our wish come true.
All people of all ages and nationalities want to be healthy, beautiful and successful. This applies to both men and women. But the years go away and the youth passes. Suddenly we realize that we’re experiencing irreversible changes. But for those who are still young and beautiful this question isn’t so optimistic too. A young organism has enough resources to enjoy all colors of life. It’s capable to run, jump, swim, drive a car, work an so on. Unfortunately, over time, the ability and activity of the body reduces.
Our first year of being on a healthy plant-based nutrition was a great examination for us. It was a time when our tastes were unstable and there were so many temptations around. But we overcame these moments. Of course, from time to time our son asks for something tasty. He haven’t ever tried candies or milk chocolate, because these products were restricted by gastroenterologist. But we always used white sugar before.
Of course, we had some ideas about being eventually on a raw food diet, but we found out our best way, which is more suitable for today. We are on a healthy plant-based nutrition. Being vegans means eating a lot of plant-based food, usually boiled, stewed, so-called, heat-treated. However, we try to follow a ratio 80:20. It means 80% of raw food vs 20% of heat-treated meal daily. This ratio gives an opportunity to keep your body in a state, when the processes of purification of the body prevail over the processes of contamination by toxins.
As I wrote before, a great desire to get rid ofallergies (our son is allergic to nuts, my spouse is allergic to cats) provided us with great motivation and desire to change our traditional diet to a healthy one. My spouse decided to try raw food diet immediately, but I liked eggs and cheese so much and it was rather difficult for me to give up eating them. Of course, my son liked cheese too and I decided it better for us to be vegetarians. The was also another reason to change our nutrition.
As soon as we replaced traditional nutrition with healthy plant-based one, we faced with a situation: our son had no habit of eating salads. Especially greens. It was a dilemma how to convince a child to eat more vegetables. I told him a lot about benefits of eating vegetables and greens. Sometimes I tried to persuade him to eat the salad. But it didn’t work. Eventually I decided to have a conversation with a naturopath. She really helped me. She also suggested not to force the child to eat vegetables that he doesn’t like, despite their benefits.
A change in nutrition provides changes in other spheres of our life. We study a lot of information and read many books about health, raw food diet, veganism, vegetarians. “The shocking truth about water” by Paul C. Bragg made a great impression on us. You can buy this book here. That’s why a year ago we bought a water distiller “STELER”.
Today I want to tell you about a Sprouting mix. I’ve heard about it earlier, but we bought it for the first time some days ago. I really was impressed with a list of useful properties of this product. We bought it in a healthy food store Dzhagannat. This is how the packaging looks like. Analog of this product you can see here. All product’s information is written in Russian, so I’ll translate it into English.
Today we are gonna to cook Indian soup with Egor. It’s called "masoor dal". Rich taste and spicy aroma of the soup will definitely surprise everyone. Try it! Lentils are an excellent source of B vitamins, iron, magnesium, potassium and zinc. They are an excellent source of plant-based protein and fiber.
Perhaps you don’t know about Russian doctor Mikhail Sovetov. Until a certain time he was a successful traditional urologist with his treatment techniques, which had no analogues. Нe was visited by patients from all over the world. But he always desired to cure his patients completely rather than just help them to get rid of their symptoms. Mikhail realized that within traditional medicine it was hardly possible to achieve these results. One day he decided to change his traditional diet to achieve a greater results in energy practices. By changing his nutrition he also changed the world view. That’s why he became a naturopath.
One day my spouse watched a video of Russian blogger Roman Milovanov. His story is about a serious disease which doctors couldn’t cope and how he recovered only by keeping raw food diet. He was also allergic to citrus fruit. Eventually, he can eat them without any consequences. It was exiting information! The reason was that, at the age of 2 years old we accidentally found out that Egor was allergic to nuts. He was taken to the hospital after a small piece of cake with a walnut and got an injection.
Egor is 7.5 years old now. Up to 5 years he was a child on a traditional diet. But that’s not exactly true. When Egor was at the age of 3 years the doctor diagnosed dyskinesia and ordered a strict diet - nothing fat, fried, no fast food, no ice-cream, only one type of dietetic cookies, also minimum products that may contain chemistry. On the one hand there was a confusion, why a child who has never tried fast food, any chocolate bars and advertised candies, had this pain to disturb and why such diagnosis appeared.
